Oxfam is a confederation of 17 ngos working at different levels in more than 90 countries with people living in poverty, fighting for their rights and controlling their own lives: support for local organisations and development projects, response to humanitarian emergencies and campaigns to mobilize citizens and pressure on decision makers.
Some Oxfam send volunteers on the ground, such as Oxfam Quebec, which employs about workers in countries on average.
Other Oxfam do not send personnel to the countries of the South. On the other hand, everyone needs volunteers. More than volunteers help Oxfam France at the association's headquarters, but also in its solidaires stores, two in Lille and two in Paris and at the time of Trailwalker, a sporting and solidarity event.
What are they proposing? Management, organizational development, administration, community development, agriculture, water and sanitation, micro-enterprises, gender equality, social work, HIV/AIDS, employability of young people…

Profile and Conditions: Oxfam searches for graduate professionals with two years experience, with qualities that allow good intercultural integration, a good knowledge of the language of work of the country of assignment (English, Spanish, Arabic an asset for the Middle East). For Oxfam Quebec, the term of office is usually two years. For volunteers, one day or half day a week.
