The dojo du boulevard de la Chapelle, one of the five courses taking place, has its small history… Indeed, this was where all the greatest masters came to train in the 1950 s when aikido engaged in France. Today, the Aikido Club Railway, formerly reserved for SNCF employees, brings together nearly 150 members in an atmosphere that has been able to keep all its friendliness and warmth. The courses are supervised by ten teachers and follow the method set up by Christian Tissier, the reference in France, a method recognised by FFAAA, and also by the Aïkikay of Tokyo, the body that controls and controls the good practice of aikido in the world, guaranteeing quality and seriousness. Courses take place every day and last from 1 to 2 hours depending on levels. After a classic warm-up, they place in practice naked hands before tackling techniques with weapons: ken (bois), jö (stick) and tantö (knife), to finish jyu waza (combat). Finally, the club organizes two courses for three days each year. A real good address!
