GRANDE PAGODE DU BOIS DE VINCENNES
The Tibetan Temple inaugurated on 27 January 1985 was built in the Bois du de Vincennes, the headquarters of the International Buddhist Institute, founded by Jean Sainteny, who ensured management. In this 8 000 m 2 house located on the edge of Daumesnil Lake in Vincennes wood, there were already two buildings with exceptional architectural quality, remains of the colonial exhibition of 1931. The most important, the ancient pavilion of Cameroon, was restored in 1977 and transformed into pagoda for the exercise of worship. The restoration of the second, the former pavilion of Togo, is planned by the City of Paris and its interior interior layout in which the most important texts of the various Buddhist traditions will be gathered.
