AGENCE PARISIENNE DU CLIMAT
The aim of this agency is to support the energy transition, to offer Parisians the means to anticipate the future and the ecological crisis caused by climate change and the increasing scarcity of fossil fuels. It's a question of developing strong, concrete actions that are equal to the challenge. Since 2001, the City of Paris has implemented public policies designed to reduce the capital's carbon footprint: development of public transport and alternative travel, energy renovation, greening, resource and waste management, food, etc. Entire areas of municipal action are covered by a proactive action plan with quantified targets to combat global warming. The updating of the Paris Climate and Energy Plan in 2012 provided an opportunity to further amplify the momentum, and to draw up a more precise roadmap for all local players over the next five years. The Agence Parisienne du Climat (Paris Climate Agency) plays an essential role in supporting the implementation of the Paris Climate and Energy Plan. Good indications for changing our behavior and developing a greener Paris.
