ASSOCIATION SAUVEGARDE DU RAMESSEUM
The Ramesseum, located in Louqsor, Egypt, is a historic temple of great importance. Founded in 1989, the Association pour la Sauvegarde du Ramesseum aims to contribute financially and materially to the exploration, safeguarding and enhancement of this emblematic monument. The million-year-old temple of Ramses II, also known as the Ramesseum, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The association conducts research in partnership with Franco-Egyptian scientific teams, such as the CNRS and the Centre d'Étude et de Documentation sur l'Ancienne Égypte. In addition to its research activities, the association offers guided tours with commentary by Christian Leblanc, as well as conferences and publications on the subject. Members of the association also have the opportunity to participate in the excavation and restoration of the site. The Ramesseum is a must-see for history and archaeology enthusiasts.
