THE AUSTERLITZ BRIDGE
Go there and contact
This building allows the passage between the Jardin des Plantes and the Gare d 'Austerlitz (left bank) and the Gare de Lyon station (right bank). Originally built in 1807 to commemorate Napoleon's victory over the Austrians and the Russians, he was rebuilt in 1854 and 1885 for security reasons. Over time, the Emperor's "N" and imperial eagles decorating the frontlines were replaced by a lion identified with flags and arms symbolizing the Republic. However, the bridge preserves a roaring lion holding in his legs a flag of Austerlitz. The monument has the viaduct of Austerlitz, employed for the movement of the mess from line 5.
