MARCHÉ DE LA PORTE DOREE
Nowadays located on Daumesnil Avenue, this market was previously located on Poniatowski Boulevard (at the time, by the way, its name was that of the Marshal of Empire, nicknamed the Polish Bayard). Not very extensive, this friendly market is not expensive at all. Somewhat deserted on Thursdays, it comes to life on Sundays. You can easily compose a basket and then go for a picnic in the nearby Bois de Vincennes. Let's be frank: we won't cross the capital to shop at this market, which is nevertheless a godsend for the inhabitants of the district. A little drink after the shopping is easy, with the cafés open all around.
