La Cantine de Gaston is discreet. It's true that in this bubbling rue de Tolbiac, all the shops intermingle and you don't always pay attention to the addresses that animate it. This is the case with this restaurant opened by Juliette Fleurot-Beausire, a young chef from the south-west, and her husband Quentin. A bistro setting that no longer surprises anyone with tables and dissimilar wooden chairs, large mirrors behind the bar and old photos. Le jour de notre visite, à la carte (carte courte c'est un bon signe) entre autres : salade de foies de volailles, œufs cocotte à la crème, hampe sauce fourme d'Ambert, saumon gravelax... Si ça c'est pas terroir.....
A noter une bonne cave, bien conçue, de vins au verre ou en bouteille à des prix intéressants.
