Restaurant where you can discover new suggestions of dishes and wines each month.
Christophe Beaufront can be summarised to a single dish, pork pot-au-feu with spices and a glass of broth or "back from Tokyo" pig pot-au-feu with vegetables, soba (buckwheat pasta), pickled ginger and horseradish. The dishes are simple yet some people come from afar to enjoy it. If you dream of it, do not hesitate and book immediately after you read this. But know that the cuisine of Christophe is also known for its affordable price, a bit of mischief, a hint of spice, a touch of personality and a strong suspicion of a meeting between the continents. The lunch formula Autour d'une soupe (around a soup) consists of a soup, the daily special, a 10 cl glass of wine and coffee. On the à la carte menu, you'll find a quail confit with olive oil and roasted, eggplant compote with coriander, a hake fillet, a potato pulp with spices, pea coulis and a pear roasted with caramel and vanilla ice cream scented with olive oil. It cracks, it crunches, it calls you out, you get to like it and you come back next month to discover new suggestions, be it a solid one or liquid because the wine list of Avant-Goût is simply wonderful. And if you like a particular wine, visit the cellar opposite the restaurant where you will certainly find its bottle.
