LIBRAIRIE JONAS
The Jonas Bookstore celebrated its 60 years in 2017. In this changing neighbourhood, it resisted all the storms and maintained its militant vocation against winds and tides with here and there changes of crews. Created by Sabine Landré and Henri Broskievic to bring a little culture to this working world of the 13th, Jonas was the object of three attacks by extreme right-wing militias in the 1980s. It has always risen from its ashes to emerge more beautiful. In the 90m², you will find literature, human sciences, essays - especially political, children's books, BD, polars, SF, poetry, books on Paris… There are many books carefully chosen by the library team which has preserved its primary vocation: discussions with writers or journalists on topical issues, dedication sessions, work with schools in the neighbourhood, etc. which can be seen on the website of the bookstore, which is perfectly up to date.
