Crêperie de Paris, with a rustic décor, offers a menu full of galettes and crêpes.

Great spot of Breton culture in Paris, Le Tijos, created in 1937, is now considered the oldest Breton address in Montparnasse but also one of the best crêperies in Paris. In a very rustic decor of a dining room, with a huge clock, wooden furniture and a large bar with the country's colours, you can drink Breton beer, Breizh Cola or the excellent chouchen – a kind of mead. The menu overflows with galettes with butter, with cheese, with ham, with sausage, with fresh mushrooms of Paris or with goat cheese and crêpes with honey, with salted butter caramel, with coconut, with chocolate, with chestnut cream, with apples or with banana. The house also has some specialties: the Tijos salad (warm potatoes, Guémené andouilles and mustard vinaigrette), the AAAAA andouillette with homemade purée or, according to the season, marinara mussels of Bouchot, roast sardine fillets, dry pancake. After dinner, the restaurant extends to the vaulted cellar where musical groups who are mostly Celtic come to perform regularly.

Very underrated place to “goûter” authentic Brittany crêpes and galettes. As a matter of fact, the owners are Brêtons! Affordable, great ambiance, traditional Brittany interior design and welcoming will be expected when coming here. It’s a shame I didn’t take any photo during visits..

Definitely will recommend to many others!
