FÉDÉRATION FRANÇAISE DE JUDO JUJITSU KENDO ET DISCIPLINES ASSOCIÉES (F.F.J.D.A)
Created in 1882 by a Japanese monk, Jigoro Kano, judo is a martial art meaning "flexibility". Indeed, the founding principles of this discipline are based on the idea that flexibility can defeat the fort. Judo appeared in France in the 1930 s, mainly after the Second World War under the Leadership of Master Kawaishi and Paul Bonet-Maury, Founding President of the French Judo Federation in December 1946. Martial art will then be included in the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games program. Through its 550 000 licensees, FFJDA represents not only judokas, but also lovers of kendo (sabre fencing), jujitsu (method of defence near judo), alive (Japanese weapon weapon with curve blade), jodo (fight to stick), iaido (art of drawing the saber and hitting in one gesture), kyudo (firing-shooting). arc) and chanbara sport (fighting between two opponents on equal or different arms according to minimum rules).
