FÉDÉRATION FRANÇAISE DE HATHA YOGA
The French Federation of Hatha Yoga aims to promote yoga in France in its traditional spirit. It develops the study and practice of yoga, proposes the initial and continuous training of teachers, organizes conferences, courses, yoga courses and disseminates books or journals related thereto. It was founded in 1968 by Mahalingappa Ghatradyal (Shri Mahesh) who was raised in the monastery virashivaïte of Shiva Mandir, where he learned and practiced yoga at the age of five. The FFHY brings together more than 700 professors and more than 11 000 members. She is represented in France in eleven regional offices and is bound by convention at the Francophone League of Hatha Yoga in Belgium.
