Korean canteen with a contemporary decor offering seasonal salads.

No, Seoul Mama is not an Asian restaurant from the Big Mamma clan. It's the elegant Korean canteen opened by Indian chef Manoj Sharma (Sharmaji, an Indian restaurant also in the 15th arrondissement) and his wife Sangmi Lee, originally from the Land of the Morning Calm. A table away from the Motte-Piquet-Grenelle district, with a contemporary decor. The menu features elegant mandou (ravioli), thick curries (the shrimp in ours were perhaps a tad too crisp) and dupbaps (chicken, spicy pork...). Seoul Mama's version of Korea has many charms..

한국음식이 그리워 뛰쳐갔지만 한국음식을 파는 곳은 아니에요. 한식을 재해석해 현지화한 음식점입니다. 그래서 대부분의 손님들도 한국인이 아니고요. 음식의 가격은 많이 비싼 편이지만 맛은 좋습니다. 기대했던 한식은 아니지만 현지화 성공한 한식을 경험하는 것도 특별했어요.
한국말을 잘하는 직원 두분이 있는거도 신기했어요.

Si vous voulez un resto Coréen POUR FRANÇAIS, c’est le resto idéal. Si vous cherchez la cuisine authentique avec le kimchi et autres petits condiments qui accompagnent les plats comme tous les restaurants Coréens offrent, ce n’est pas le bon endroit. Ici le kimchi est vendu séparément à 3,5€.
