Traditional restaurant in Paris offering tandoori chicken and lamb, naans, fritters and samosas
Solidly moored on rue Lecourbe for some thirty years, this restaurant is a pillar of the gourmet landscape of the Saint-Lambert district. The decor, which used to be traditional, with lots of woodwork and sculptures of divinities, has been modernised - and simplified - to favour tobacco tones and leave a stone wall on one side and a brick wall on the other, the new setting for a lively, spicy cuisine. The cast includes the basics of the Indian culinary repertoire: tandoori chicken and lamb, Madras lamb and other lamb curries, butter chicken, biryanis, naans, a range of fritters and samosas... with, ultimately, a lot of generosity.
