Japanese restaurant in Paris offering a lunch menu, fish and French-Japanese cuisine.
Yoshitaka Ikeda, a recognized Japanese chef, is at the helm of this restaurant where we do not come by accident. Hidden and yet close to the tower and the Montparnasse station, Clos Y is a true jewel. We are not in a Japanese restaurant but in a French gourmet restaurant with Japanese accents and influences. The lunch menu is a real bargain, a smart plan not to miss and offers an attractive panorama of chef's kitchen. So we start with a bento garnished with ice cream with foie gras, green asparagus with two sesames accompanied by a solidified or powder olive oil and, of a salmon sushi, of a shrimp marinated in sea water and olive oil, of a beetroot cream and cumin seeds and fried chicken. As for the main course, the famous roasted quail and Japanese sauce, a good representation of the French-Japanese cuisine offered by the chef. The mousse and sorbets, green tea, red bean and black sesame, are amazing and tasty.
