Located on the ground floor of the Maison de la culture du Japon in Paris, this boutique-bookshop could not only explore literature and books on Japan. In the image of the home, it immerses, as much as possible, in a rather small room, the whole Japanese culture. Result: everything is or almost everything! Besides a wide selection of books ranging from Mishima's classics to fine works on fully illustrated kitchen, the novelties of the prolific Haruki Murakami, or even works on martial arts. The stock of Culture Japan looks like an organized bazaar - the competent and warm Japanese staff guide you through unexpected objects. Culture Japan is also working to propose books in connection with current exhibitions at the Maison de la culture du Japon. The aim of this library is to make Japanese culture known to the French. Language learning methods and dictionaries take a look at Gris jack-grey keys and Représentations representations, Hello Kitty gadgets and maneki neko, the calligraphy material while the flower or kenzan spades, necessary for ikebana, look at cast iron teapots, incense sticks and origami papers.
