Created in 1870, this contest, organised every year during the International Agricultural Fair, Porte de Versailles, is out to select and award the best French local produce, in particular wines. Each year, more than 15 000 wines are presented by several thousand producers, with the 3 000 jurors awarded with almost 4 000 medals. The General Agricultural Contest also offers to find local products and metallized wines on its online shop.
