FRANCE BÉNÉVOLAT
Created in 2003, with more than 80 departmental centres and 250 reception points, the France bénévolat association is recognised as being of public utility. Its aim is to develop voluntary work in associations. Its mission is to advise future volunteers in their search for an association, by studying the nature of their motivations, their availability, their know-how and their place of life. Some retirees are looking to get involved in a civic mission, to contribute to the development of cultural or sports activities, to act for humanitarian causes or to put their personal or professional experience at the service of others. Once the information has been collected, the future volunteers are directed in a targeted manner towards the associations to which they are likely to contribute. The needs of associations are well known to France Bénévolat, which posts thousands of advertisements on its website from associations looking for volunteers. France Bénévolat has some 6,000 partner associations and an average of 200,000 future volunteers are informed each year.
