The hospital mission of the Knights of Malta is provided by the French Hospital Works of the order of Malta, an association recognized as public utility. It is certainly the oldest religious humanitarian association. Founded in the th century to treat pilgrims upon arrival in Jerusalem, the sovereign Order of Malta perpetuates the humanitarian tradition by help populations in difficulty. In addition to its actions on the ground, which you can contribute by contacting them, the association offers expatriate missions in the countries of the third world and Eastern Europe.
What are they proposing? Field care, fight against common infectious diseases, solidarity development (hospital gardens), rescue training courses, ambulance drivers, and also fight against insecurity, support for disabled or ill people… The order of Malta will allow you to bring your skills and know-how to local teams.

Prices and conditions. Directors, doctors, midwives, nurses… The order of Malta recruits its expatriates mainly in the medical sector. These are 6-month minimum missions, accessible from 25 years of age. Between 18 and 35 years, it is possible to engage in youth missions, for action in France. There is also no religious constraint.
