SWAN ALLEY
An astonishing 850 m long and 11 m wide alley with a view of the Eiffel Tower, the buildings and the Maison de Radio France
From this long strip - almost 900 metres long and around ten metres wide - you can see the Eiffel Tower and the buildings on the Front de Seine on one side, and the Radio France headquarters on the other. Originally created in 1825 and consolidated in 1827, this artificial dyke was one of the infrastructures of the Grenelle river port. Since 1889, a replica of New York's Statue of Liberty has stood at its southern end. The allée aux Cygnes (hence its name), which occupies almost the entire surface area, is a pleasant place to stroll.
