MARCHÉ GRENELLE
It's certainly one of the capital's most important markets (although its location has since been moved, it's the historic market in the village of Grenelle, a commune incorporated into Paris in 1860). The stalls are spread around a single alley beneath the aerial metro between La Motte-Piquet and Dupleix. Handy when it rains! On Sunday mornings, it's all the rage, and you have to elbow your way through. Four-season merchants, fishmongers, butchers, delicatessens, cheesemongers, patissiers, numerous organic stalls..
