MARCHÉ SAINT-CHARLES
Along with the aptly named rue du Commerce (at least in its portion near La Motte-Piquet) and rue Lecourbe (on the side of rue Cambronne), rue Saint-Charles is one of the best supplied streets in the 15th arrondissement in terms of food shops. It is therefore logical that a food market (but not only) of intermediate size is held there twice a week. Its stalls cover both sides of the street, between the rue de Javel and the Saint-Charles roundabout. The atmosphere is friendly and the prices remain reasonable despite a neighbourhood that is gentrifying at a rapid pace. All the basics are there, with the addition of stalls dedicated to regional specialities and organic products.
