BAR DE L’HÔTEL SAINT-JAMES
Le Saint-James Paris is a mansion which looks like a small castle. Surrounded by a private garden, this architectural jewel combines the concepts of luxury, discretion and authenticity within walking distance of Avenue Foch. Built in 1892 on the location of the first Parisian aerodrome, in memory of Adolphe Thiers, the special hotel that houses the Saint James was a place for the best students before taken over by English and later becoming a hotel. It has preserved its club spirit, large staircases, impressive volumes and a certain severity. It has since been decorated in a "crazy-chic" style by the exuberant Bambi Sloan. The originality and authenticity of this place have attracted many film makers and it has long welcomed the team of the famous "L’Assiette anglaise" of Bernard Rapp. The mythical library of the Thiers Foundation has become a real place where the hotel's bar is located. The menu offers a selection of whiskies of different origins, including very rare scotch malt whiskies, a wide selection of champagnes and tasty herbal cocktails created by Judicaël Noël. While enjoying your drink, you can browse one of the 12 000 books in the library.
