SAISON MUSICALE PARISIENNE DU PALAIS ROYAL
Be careful, the Royal Palace in question here has nothing to do with the Palais-Royal, a Parisian landmark in the history of France, or with the theatre of the same name. It is a musical ensemble, choir and orchestra, of high quality, even if it is still relatively unknown. This group, founded in 2004 by conductor Jean-Philippe Sarcos, explores the baroque, classical and romantic repertoires, with musicians using different instruments depending on the period of the work. The Parisian concerts take place in the hall of the former Conservatory, in the 9th arrondissement. Built between 1806 and 1811, this room, with its remarkable acoustics and captivating charm, is made entirely of wood and painted canvas. It is classified as a historical monument.
