Museum housing photographs, books, letters, newspapers, manuscripts and personal objects by Georges Clemenceau.
A place of memory. Georges Clemenceau (1841-1929) lived in this apartment, now a museum dedicated to his life and work through photographs, books, letters, newspapers, manuscripts and personal objects. A leading politician of the Third Republic, he was a doctor, journalist, mayor of the 18th arrondissement, member of parliament, senator, minister and twice President of the Council. He was nicknamed the "Tiger" for his police work as Minister of the Interior. An Academician, the author of the famous J'accuse was a friend of many artists, including Claude Monet.
