A genuine Italian trattoria offering good value for money, close to Place de l'Étoile, with a wide range of specialities.
A genuine Italian trattoria, located not far from Place de l'Étoile, offering clear, precise cuisine: here's Piccolino, a sure bet! There are no pizzas here, just a limited menu of perfectly mastered specialties. Charcuterie, antipasti such as eggplant alla parmigiana, pasta, of course, risottos and a few classic secondi piatti, such as veal chop Milanese. The house is welcoming, the service outstanding and the quality top-notch. All you have to do is make a reservation.

Throughout the meal, the server's attitude only worsened. He nearly smashed glasses on our table, forgot to serve some of our dishes, and outright declined to allow us to cut a birthday cake for the celebrant. His treatment of the birthday boy was particularly appalling, displaying a complete lack of respect and decency.
As for the food, it was nothing short of a disaster. The dishes were exceptionally bland and pathetic, lacking any semblance of flavor or creativity. What's more, despite claiming to be an Italian-styled pseudo-French restaurant, they only serve pizzas on Saturdays, which was a huge disappointment considering it was my husband's birthday dinner.
The menu itself was a total bore, exuding a pretentious "playing too hard to be bougie vibe" that was off-putting. It's evident that the establishment has zero respect for people of color, as the server was seen happily mingling with French or white patrons but turned his nose up at us, despite us speaking in French to make it convenient for him to understand.
Overall, this was by far the worst dining experience I've had during my time in Paris, and I can confidently say that Piccolino is the worst food place in the Lauriston neighborhood. It was a complete waste of money and time, and the food was barely edible – it's more suited for hospital trays than restaurant plates. Perhaps if the server fixed his attitude, one might still have a chance of salvaging a better experience, but until then, I strongly advise against dining at this establishment.
We were there for a birthday and the waiter did not even allow us to cut a cake we brought. Very disappointed
