Intimate address in Paris offering Italian cuisine, fabulous cocktails, meats and shellfish.
An intimate address between Etoile and Trocadéro, Le Conti is an institution of Italian gastronomy in Paris. The very best of Italy is offered season after season, always with the same high standards of excellence demanded by Michel Ranvier, Le Conti's main man, who for ten years ran the kitchens of one of Europe's legendary trains: the Venice Simplon-Orient Express. The cosy décor, inspired by the codes of Venetian theater, all dressed in red and black with Murano chandeliers (real ones) and a large sculpted mirror, has the feel of a boudoir. It's perfect for both business lunches and evening tête-à-têtes. After an aperitif (the cocktails are fabulous), you're treated to scallop carpaccio with shredded bottarga, pork mignon with scamorza, potato gnocchi and the famous citrus limoncello baba. There's nothing to declare, and everything passes through customs without a hitch. To accompany your meal, think Italian: the menu features over a hundred wines from Piedmont, Tuscany and Sardinia.
