HÔTEL MOLITOR * * * * *
Hotel with suites and rooms overlooking the summer pool, offering spa and restaurant services.
The Accor group has invested in the former Molitor swimming pool to set up a complex of 124 rooms and suites with two swimming pools, several dining areas and a private club. Built in the 1930s, the Molitor swimming pool was always a popular spot for Parisians until it closed in 1989. Listed as a historical monument, it remained abandoned for years, but street artists flocked to it and made it the largest urban art space in Paris. The architect Jean-Philippe Nuel was inspired by it to create a space that is both modern and authentic. The walls are a bright yellow that contrasts with the blue of the cabin doors. Around 70 cabins have been redecorated by street artists and can be visited at any time as a client and on Saturdays free of charge for outsiders (paying guided tour on Wednesdays on reservation via the site). The rooms, almost all of which have a superb view of the summer swimming pool, have been fitted out and decorated in a minimalist way in light and soft tones. Among the many services include access to the swimming pools, the Clarins spa and the bistronomic restaurant, the Brasserie Urbaine. Although the swimming pool was accessible to all during its heyday, today you have to be a client of the hotel to enjoy it or show your white paws and be a member of a very closed club (1,000 members, at €3,500 annual subscription with €1,500 registration fee the first year). Another possibility of access: the day spa package "l'escale" at 290 € which includes access to the spa with a treatment and access to the swimming pool.

Rooms: great - carpet a bit stained
Restaurant and bar: that’s where there is a major problem. The club restaurant is not well serviced. Dirty tables for a long time. Limited choices of drinks. Almost self service. The main restaurant lacks personality. Again very limited choices. Only a few seats at the bar.
The hotel lacks a good bar. Especially for the price you pay.
J’ai pu trouver mon bonheur dans un autre rooftop de la même gamme.
