LIBRAIRIE LAVOCAT
Librairie Library is a family history. Founded in 1920 by Mr. Guilleminault and his wife, born Ms. Lavocat, the small district bookstore grew rapidly until the 1950s. Very early, the children of the couple took the reins of the establishment, especially the eldest, Marie-Estelle, who was nicknamed Miss Lavocat. This emblematic figure, who told war stories and stories of authors as a person, would even become the president of booksellers in France. She was only replaced in the 1990s by Frédéric Airy, who kept intact the charm of the establishment. Well-rounded, airy, with an owner who knows the books very well, what more?
