Musée Yves Saint-Laurent, offering guided tours led by guide-lecturers, with a retrospective tour
The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris exhibits the work of the famous couturier in the historic location of his former couture house, through a retrospective tour and thematic temporary exhibitions presented in succession. The museum opened in October 2017, more than fifteen years after the house closed. It occupies the historic mansion at 5 avenue Marceau, where Yves Saint Laurent's creations were born for almost 30 years, from 1974 to 2002. Over 450 m², a constantly renewed presentation, alternating between retrospective and thematic temporary exhibitions, reflects the wealth of the unique heritage of the Fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent. The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris is as much about the designer's creative genius as it is about the creative process behind his haute couture collections.
But more than just a monographic museum, this space is also a witness to the history of the 20th century and a haute couture that accompanied a certain art de vivre that has now disappeared. Scenographer Nathalie Crinière and decorator Jacques Grange, who have both collaborated on numerous Fondation projects, have redesigned the exhibition spaces in the original atmosphere of the haute couture house. When it opened, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris was the first museum on this scale devoted to the work of one of the 20th century's greatest couturiers, the man who introduced the women's tuxedo in 1966.

Le bureau-atelier de YSL est très intéressant. Nous en apprenons un peu plus sur ses inspirations grâce à ses livres.
