A group of gardens offering an instructive, soothing and intoxicating stroll, featuring a wide variety of tree species

Several gardens (French, English, Japanese, Mediterranean, contemporary) make up this remarkable garden (a label), dating from the very end of the ^19th century. This botanical ensemble is the splendid setting for the elegant Auteuil greenhouses, which house thousands of plant collections: succulents, ferns... After a bitter legal battle following a project to extend the Roland-Garros stadium, four new greenhouses saw the light of day in 2016.

Il faut y aller vite avant que Roland Garros ne prenne la place... Mais que c'est désuet poussiéreux et mal entretenu. De loin, la majesté des verrières temoigne de ce que ce site a du être au temps de sa splendeur. Las ! Ce temps est révolu. Et les plus belles collections (orchidées) ne se visitent pas par crainte du vandalisme.
