Restaurant-canteen with terrace elaborating a Vietnamese speciality, a tom bun with marinated shrimps.

In the heart of the Batignolles district, it is the new canteen of the corner or rather the "Cang-tin" as the establishment likes to appear on the menus with humour. Indeed, the restaurant serves a well-known Vietnamese specialty at a low price: the famous cup bun. Here you'll find a lot of recipes like the one from the bun bun with ginger chicken or from the tom bun with pickled shrimp… You'll have the choice! But do not believe that these are the umpteenth Vietnamese canteen! Nothing to see. Here the garden is ultra colored in colors tones, pop limits, and a central bar allows you to eat at the counter while chatting with your neighbour. Finally, and above all, the open kitchens allow real Vietnamese in colorful dress to prepare your cup bun under your eyes! Result: The James Bun is a success and he's not always, you'd run the tail, but you won't regret it. In the beautiful days, the small terrace with its wooden benches is another.

Depuis longtemps un favori mais depuis in bon moment le client(s) se sens ( excusez Français écrit) comme on lui prend pour un idiot. 15€ pour un PHO ou il y’a un demi kilo de pâtes (30 centimes à leur coût) et une petite poignée de carottes etc et la viande pars contre ..on peut rentrer dans une grande cuillère à soupe. Totalement pas acceptable. Le staff m’a dit que les gens ne veulent pas payer plus donc ils doivent ajuster les quantités. Malheureusement ils ne veulent pas rajouter 1 ou 2 € pour extra poulet, beef, shrimp sur le Uber eats menu. Ca arrangerait tout le monde. Je sais qu’en France il y’a énormément de radins et pas que des gens qui sont sous payés. S’il ne peuvent pas se permettre d’aller au resto qu’ils ramène des sandwiches. Il n’y a pas de sous métiers ni de sous déjeuner. Hello ! Y’a qqun? Les caisses sont vide, l’économie est à zéro.. mais the French won’t hear it. They argue for more everything but don’t want to pay. It’s pathetic Let the rest of us pay more (James Bun haven’t changed their prices since I went to eat there 6 yrs ago).bc this is a good restaurant. They said, they aren’t alone.. if management or owner is reading: do YOURSELF a favor and start thinking clearly and productive. someone is always looking to take your place.
