Half way between the shops of Avenue des Ternes, the frenzy of the 17 th arrondissement of Paris and the Tramuntana market is a tasty family restaurant: the Purpose. In kitchen, two chefs… Father Pierre Méchin, who began his professional career with Georges Laurier, Chief of the Weapons of Brittany in Paris, before pursuing his career in renowned institutions, and his daughter Claire Méchin, who made his teaching in the kitchens of the Plaza Athenaeum Garden with Mickaël Graceful and Christian Julliard. After a few years spent working each side, father and daughter decided to work together in a new adventure in 2011: It will be the restaurant. In the Middle Ages, this word means, for the little story, a craftsman who has know-how. In an elegant, contemporary bistro style, with the adorable mama Méchin at the service, you can enjoy creative cuisine in the air of the time based on quality and seasonal products. The menu changes regularly, but it's been particularly appreciated by entering smoked salmon marinated with beet, tarama foam and rye tile, and flat-fried beef, Irish Angus, blue or rare, a really well prepared tiger. And in dessert, you're strongly advised of the cheese from the moment of Alléosse house or crystallized pear with light caramel, vanilla ice cream that is a delight. An almost hidden touch of heart of the 17 th!

Carte simple mais qui rassure. Les plats sont bien fait, c'est bon et bien présenté. Carte des vins simple mais suffisante.
Le service, très attentionné, discret et serviable, est un peu lunatique (oubli des couverts par 2 fois) mais ça ne gâche en rien le moment passé à cette table.
