Winner of the 2008 Bouteille d'Or award for the best wine bistro, this family-run establishment focuses on fine wines, accompanied by local Auvergne cuisine in a rustic setting. Enjoy a gratinée à l'oignon or a platter of Auvergne charcuterie and/or cheeses. Homemade chocolate mousse and rum baba round off the meal. For those with a small appetite, the assortment of tapas (including a crunchy Saint-Nectaire cheese) is also delicious. Traditional cuisine is good.

Hier, nous avions décidé de nous retrouver entre amis. Nous avons choisi « le Bougnat « Excellente initiative. Très belles assiette ( entrecôte savoureuse) et boissons d’accompagnement exemplaires au point de vue goût et prix. Bravo pour l’établissement et au tandem gagnant. Merci à eux pour ce moment.
