This bookshop takes its name from L'Usage du monde, a book by Nicolas Bouvier, illustrated by the painter Thierry Vernet, which relates the journey of the two men from the Balkans to Afghanistan. Inspired by this book, Katia and Jean-Philippe Pérou opened their own bookshop, a real place to live. Today, they have handed over the reins. Meetings are organised every month with authors, a reader's prize is awarded to favourite books and every spring, "le mois de la traduction" highlights foreign literature. We appreciate the seriousness and simplicity with which the events are organised. The important thing here is not to appear but to transmit!
