L'HÔTEL GAILLARD - BANQUE DE FRANCE
Remarkable hotel of Renaissance style, built on the plans of Victor-Jules Février for the financier Emile Gaillard in Paris.
This Renaissance-style mansion was designed by architect Victor-Jules Février for financier Emile Gaillard, who wished to house his collections here. Dating from 1882, it was inspired by several Loire Valley châteaux, notably Blois. The building was acquired by the Banque de France in 1919 for use as a branch. Classified as a historic monument in 1999, the building has been home to the Cité de l'Economie for several years now.
