BUNGALOW SQUARE
This human-sized square is the ideal place to take a break and cool off, sheltered by the trees
Created by Baron Haussmann to bring nature into the city, this charming square was a village square before the commune of Batignolles-Monceau was annexed to Paris in 1860 and developed two years later. A source of inspiration for many artists, this bucolic space was designed in the English style, with its bridge, river, grotto, waterfall... Its varied flora and fauna make it a popular place to stroll for local residents. It also features two air-raid shelters built in the 1930s.
