MARCHÉ COUVERT DES BATIGNOLLES
Originally, in the 19th century, it was an open-air market, which was removed in 1867 to be replaced by a market hall on rue Lemercier. Today it is located on the ground floor of a building dating from the 1970s. With the "gentrification" of this part of the 17th arrondissement, this market is frequented by many bobos. In any case, you can really feel the spirit of the neighborhood, and the atmosphere is rather warm. Amongst the traders present, Michel Beaudon (a good butcher), fruit and vegetable sellers, a Portuguese caterer, a wine merchant... On Saturdays, lovers of organic products will find what they are looking for on the stalls installed outside. Prices, on the whole, a little high.
