-Wear layers: once all the fondu pots are out it gets HOT
-If you are an odd numbered party, you will be stuck with a single person (I was the single person who was so graciously included with 3 lovely ladies' dinner)
-Pee before you sit down, you don't want to have to climb over bubbling cheese to go to the WC.
The food was wonderful, the service was wonderful. I thought the baby bottles were gimmicky, but it was honestly so funny drinking out of them. I would recommend you go once, but I probably won't go again.
It was everything I hoped for and more. All the cheese, all the bread and wine served in baby bottles. It’s such a quirky and eccentric place which should be a must visit on your trip to Paris. I booked a month in advance and the venue was full on the night. It isn’t a big venue at all and you have to climb over the tables to get to your seats.
To start with you are given a Kir cocktail as your welcome drink and a party suzie filled with canapés including salami and olives. You then decide if you want a cheese fondue to share (between 2) or a beef fondue. If you are a party of 2 you cannot order one of each. So we were slightly jealous of the groups as they got to try both. The fondue is served with unlimited crusty bread, most likely baguette. The cheeses used are high quality and change all the time. The blend we received was absolutely delicious. You also get a choice of dessert, I went for the Ille Flotantte (meringue floating on custard) and Lauren opted for the Chocolate mousse.
Overall it was such a great experience and buzzing atmosphere. People from across the world were all seated next to each other in a community style dining set up. The fondue itself was delicious and very filling. The novelty of the baby bottles was rather funny. It was strange drinking out of one. Needless to say the amount of wine you get is ample, I left filling rather tipsy despite all the food. Highly recommend on your trip to Paris. We went before our visit to the Moulin Rogue later that evening as it is a short walk away.
