In the heart of the Montmartre district, a stone's throw from rue Custine and in a charming little square, this new restaurant of Franco-Argentine specialities has caused a sensation since its opening in March 2018. And for good reason! It includes the shock team of the trio of handsome friends, Gaspi, Ivan and Felipe, who opened Loco in 2016 on rue du Faubourg Montmartre, now one of the best Argentine restaurants in the capital. Their new "crazy" bet is therefore the Franco-Argentine version of Loco (which therefore means crazy in Spanish) which they have maliciously named "Loca" (loco female, you understood it). So they renovated an old Japanese restaurant and made it a very warm little establishment with exposed bricks, large windows, beautiful mirrors, and vintage furniture without forgetting a little touch of Argentinean decoration, all the same. But the aim here is not only to taste good Argentine dishes, including the famous grilled meat, but also to enjoy creative French specialities, always based on good products and with a tight menu that varies according to the seasons. In spring, the menu included, for example, a starter of beef tongue, potato cream and, on the side, a faux-filet/ entrecote Angus Argentin, pumpkin, turnips; a duck breast from Périgord, carrots, oranges; an hake from Ile d'Oléron (caught the day before), celery rave, kale; an octopus from Oléron (caught the previous day), potatoes from Vitelotte, peppers. For dessert, the Franco-Argentine marriage continues, with a choice between a soft chocolate, Legui cream, dates and a sweetness made from coconut, dulce de leche and grapefruit supremes. The icing on the cake is that the wine list, between Argentinean and French wines, is not bad at all. In short, Loca has panicked our taste buds, for our great pleasure, and we bet that this new epicurean address is promised a bright future! To be tested without delay
