GUILO GUILO
Address in Paris elaborating foie gras and beef sushis, a sandwich, a sea bream soup, and yuzu noodles.
Gilo Gilo, a funny name which means "roulé boulé" in Japanese, has been the talk of the town during its opening. Ever since then, everyone has calmed down in the small world of gastronomy and that of the chef Elichi Edakuni, who continues his pathway with his concept of "nouvelle cuisine", light and crisp at the same time. In a setting where black dominates, the kitchen is open at the centre of the room. The customers can all sit around, perched on high stools, so as to admire the chef as he does his masterful show, assisted by some pretty ladies. At the bottom, more convivial, a small lounge welcomes tables that can take up to 4 and 6 people. The unique menu of 8 to 10 dishes for €45 is a little surprise by the chef. It consists of designs that change every month. The only dish which appears regularly is the foie gras sushi. On the plate, on one side a small mound of rice topped with a slice of foie gras fried within a minute, on the other, a bite of apple vinegar and mint. Delicious! The drinks menu has a small selection of very good sakés which includes a sparkling which is pretty amazing.

Too bad.
