You'll have to climb to the back of the Montmartre hill to discover this Portuguese enclave in the heart of the 18th arrondissement! Sapinho - which means "lily of the valley" in Portuguese - offers a chance to rediscover the classics of a cuisine that is sometimes unjustly overlooked. From arroz de tamboril (creamy rice with paprika) to frango piri-piri (barbecued chicken) to bacalhau (crumbled cod with pickled onions), the choice is vast, and the desserts aren't bad either. The place is particularly lively at weekends.
