Coffee-shop offering a home-made brunch, pastries, sweet or savory toasts and hearty dishes.
When Australians decide to create a beautiful coffee-shop in Melbourne way, a few meters from Sacré Cœur, that gives us the new trendy address of the capital. On the social networks, Hardware Société became the place that should be followed urgently. But beware, the place is not only attractive thanks to a well targeted advertising, it has preserved its customers and made new guests come thanks to its cordial environment, its cohesive team and its well prepared cuisine. Every day, the visiting customers or regulars can enjoy the brunch of the house. On the menu: pastries, sweet or savory toasts, tasty dishes... Special mention for the French toast which is a real delight. To accompany the whole, it is time for the discovery with "Flat White", a gourmet coffee covered with a delicious thick milk quilt. On the brunch and the menu, the guests can enjoy many choices and various vegetarians or gluten-free alternatives. Only drawback, the establishment is victim of its own success, so you should wait a little before getting your table.

Their food is also incredibly delicious, and I had the opportunity to try many of the items on the menu. The Toulouse sausage and Baked Eggs - Un, were my favorite. I was never disappointed with any of my choices. Once you conquer all the steps leading up to the Sacre Coeur, and where the cafe is located, you'll have built up an appetite, which you'll enjoy satisfying here.
The staff are very friendly, and mostly foreigners living and working abroad. Jess, who I believe is the manager/boss, is a very cool and gracious host. He's always there, and always busy making sure the customers are seated in a timely manner and that they're happy.
Valeria, from Spain, is the staff manager and if you're lucky enough to have her as your server, will charm you with her humour, wit and smile!
The cafe is always busy, with mostly tourists visiting Sacre Coeur, which is just beside. I was a solo traveler, and met other travelers here every day I came, which was over a week.
The small, cozy and modern environment was a great place to meet other travelers, and people are seated pretty close together, if you are alone or a couple.
