HÔTEL SACRÉ-CŒUR * *
Family-run hotel with value-for-money Montmartre standard and Artist Club superior rooms, some with terrace.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The painter Georges Braque liked the beautiful panoramic view of the 7 th floor where he stayed in 1913 and inspired himself for his amazing art beyond his time. The floors are served by a lift, but the rooms are not accessible to the disabled, because of the small steps scattered by them. The hotel offers two types of rooms with different facilities. The Montmartre rooms (standard) have a colourful and cheerful atmosphere but without charm, with a direct view of the typical roofs of Paris. The Artist Club rooms (superior) in the upper floors offer a unique decoration of the works of the great Impressionist painters such as Gauguin, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet but Chagall. This has a small kitsch side that pleases foreigners… If you want to enjoy a terrace balcony, ask for rooms 701, 702, 703 and 704, more expensive but it is worth it. Breakfast is served in a colourful and tonic room, which is the right start from the morning.

For the rest, it is functional, the welcome is efficient but it does not have much charm. The young foreign tourists frequent it seem to be satisfied.
