Listed as a historic monument, with its curious white facade featuring only a few windows, this is one of Paris's musical landmarks, in one of the capital's most vibrant districts. This Italian-style theatre, with its 1,400 seats, parterre and balcony, is an eclectic stage for all kinds of artists. Lots of music, of course, but also shows. Note also that the Boule Noire, in the basement, also organises concerts, albeit on a more intimate scale.

Non, ce qui est génial à la Cigale, c'est que c'est une salle (presque) intimiste. Une taille qui permet de voir de grands artistes, de les entendre, de les sentir... Ni trop grande, ni trop petite. Une salle où il y a de l'ambiance. Une salle où on a des frissons. Une salle où on vit vraiment un concert.
C'est pour ça qu'on guette la programmation en attendant la prochaine fois où on y retournera...
Par contre gros bémol contre l'organisation et le service de la salle. Pendant le concert, beaucoup de personnes se sont mises à fumer dans la salle sans que personne ne dise quoi que ce soit!
