With its Far Eastern decor, the former Japanese Divan painted by Toulouse-Lautrec has been a venue for rock, electro, chanson and world music since 1994. Clubbing is also practiced here, with spectacular visual effects. The venue, which today boasts a 400-seat auditorium and a 100-seat mezzanine, was built in 1830. It became "Nippon" forty years later, as a result of Japanese fashion. At the time, it was a cabaret where vocal artists and strippers mingled.
