The cemetery is home to many famous names, including Stendhal, Théophile Gautier, Alfred de Vigny, Berlioz, and Dalida...

Less crowded than its counterparts in Montparnasse or Père Lachaise, this cemetery makes for a pleasant stroll. Opened in the early 19th century on the site of a former plaster quarry, this cemetery covers almost 11 hectares. In the shade of chestnut, maple, lime, and cedar trees lie Stendhal, Théophile Gautier, Alfred de Vigny, Berlioz, Offenbach, Sacha Guitry, Michel Berger and France Gall, Dalida, François Truffaut, Henri-Georges Clouzot...

More intimate than Père Lachaise it is here than put back some celebrities (Dalida, Michel Berger, François Truffaut and Emile Zola, Louis Jouvet) but people from obscure renown, simple people who lived in this area of Paris and perhaps mixed with the celebrities of the early 20th century such as La Goulue, Utrillo, Modigliani and many others.
