INGENIEURS SANS FRONTIERES
An Association of International Solidarity created in 1982 by students of Bridges and Roads, Engineers without Borders consists mainly of students and engineers who all come from schools and technological universities in France. They are intended to provide technical assistance in the area of sustainable development. Their missions: capacity-building for improving local living conditions, exchanging experiences in order to identify global problems, the construction of common responses through participation in field missions on technical projects of international solidarity.
What do they propose ? Engineers without borders send volunteers every year for a period of up to 3 to 6 months for tasks of water management, agriculture, access to energy, acts of respect for the environment and rehabilitation of devastated natural areas. They also organise short training for the promotion of fair trade
Where ? Africa and Latin America.
Prices and conditions. They are mainly students who receive training in advance to prepare for the structural and environmental conditions of the countries where they wish to be sent. Membership costs € 20 for students and € 50 for a normal fee.
