Restaurant in Paris preparing traditional Thai cuisine, seafood and banana leaf chicken.

From Julien-Lacroix Street to the rue de Belleville, there is only one step, crossed by this restaurant dedicated to Thai cuisine as close to tradition as possible. In an elegant red and gold decor, low tables offer us to eat sitting on cushions, legs folded by tailor. For those who have bad knees, western tables are also placed in the room. On the plate side, the culinary adventure starts with the lemonry salad and goes to the frog frogs. In the meantime, she went through the crab crab, the dorade in pious sauce, the banana leaf chicken. A high-tasting itinerary, which we promise to renew very soon.

Outside, Krung Thep does not look mine and it is the least we can say. The interior is warm, although this restaurant is not characterised nor by the comfort it offers (one is very near neighbours, seated with Thai...) nor by the warmth of its staff (nice, but nothing more) It is food that distinguishes it: it is excellent. You must try the Ormok fish, cooked in its banana leaf, and soups in lemongrass. The place is frequented by many fans of Thai cuisine. You must book.
